How to Use Your Tincture: A Guide to Finding Your Personal Dose

Our herbal tinctures are concentrated plant extracts (typically 1:2 for fresh plant material or 1:3 for dried), designed to work with your body’s natural rhythm. To receive the full support of the plants, we aim to find your personal “sweet spot” ~ the dose where your body responds best.

Initial Dosage & Adaptation

Your body and nervous system need time to meet the plants.

First few days ~ take 1-2 ml, 3 times per day
After a few days ~ if it feels right, increase to 3 ml, 3 times per day
This is often the minimum effective dose for deeper support

Finding Your Personal Dose

This is not an exact science, it’s a relationship between you and the plants.
We consider:

Body size & weight ~ larger bodies may need more to feel the effect
Level of support needed ~ gentle daily balance vs. more acute situations
Your personal feeling ~ the most important guide
Notice your body, is there ease? a shift in energy? your body will tell you

Suggested Dosing Guide (3 times daily)

50–65 kg → start 1-2 ml | support dose 3 ml (3 full droppers)
70–85 kg → start 2 ml | support dose 4–5 ml (4–5 droppers)
90+ kg → start 2 ml | support dose 6–7 ml (6–7 droppers)

1 full dropper ≈ 1 ml

Flexible Dosing Options

If taking the tincture 3 times daily feels difficult, you can divide your total daily amount into 2 doses instead.

For example:
If your dose is 3 ml, 3 times per day (9 ml total)
→ you can take 4.5 ml in the morning and 4.5 ml in the evening

Consistency matters more than perfect timing.

How & When to Take

Direct: For fastest absorption, take your dose directly into the mouth.
• Timing: Best on an empty stomach—30 mins before or 1 hour after eating.
Sensitivity: If your stomach feels sensitive, have a small snack (like nuts or a fruit) beforehand.
Taste: If the taste is too strong, mix your dose in a small shot of apple or pear juice (they are great at masking flavors).

Coffee & Tea Note

Tannins in coffee and tea may reduce absorption.

Take your tincture 30 minutes before drinking coffee or tea.
Or wait about 2 hours after.

Important reminder

Consistency matters more than taking a large amount once.
Working with your tincture regularly supports deeper, lasting balance.

Move slowly, listen inward, and allow the plants to meet you where you are 🌿
